The 5km Rule Is Nonsense

Once again, Ireland has panicked and reached for the blunt instrument of “lockdown”. The public health advisors discourage outdoor exercise, making people more vulnerable to this virus, plus a host of other health problems. These advisors, and Tony Holohan in particular, have persistently advocated such measures and resisted their being lifted since October. They should have been fired back then and it’s incredible that they remain in their jobs now.
